PUMA have been cooking in the soccer-lifestyle lane, and the V-S1 Contact is the latest reminder that early-2000s pitch energy looks just as good on concrete. Built off the brand’s V1 football boot lineage, the silhouette leans into that ‘tuned for speed’ DNA, but swaps studs for a street-ready outsole and a more everyday ride.

The hero detail is the wraparound tongue cover: it sweeps across the medial side like a shin-guard for your laces, stamped with a big, unapologetic Big Cat. Up top, moulded synthetic panels keep things slick and aerodynamic, while an iridescent, chrome-like heel counter adds a flash of locker-room bravado.

Two new colourways lead the 2026 push. One arrives in green with black accents for a classic training-kit contrast. The other goes moodier in ‘Bitter Chocolate’, then spikes the mix with ‘Vivid Violet’ and red hits – like someone spilled an energy drink on a vintage boot bag.

If you’ve been watching the football-coded wave (think adidasF50-inspired experiments and Nike’s recent pitch-to-pavement crossovers), the V-S1 Contact is PUMA’s sharp answer: streamlined and loud in the right places. Expect it to hit best with nylon track pants, baggy denim, or anything that looks like it belongs near a five-a-side cage.

The PUMA V-S1 Contact is available now via PUMA on the official site for $140.
