AVAVAV x adidas' Latest Colab Takes Oversized to the Next Level

, Florence’s favourite chaos merchants, are linking back up with for another round of surreal sportstyle just in time for the holidays. Loud and slightly unhinged, the new capsule introduces two shape-shifting creations – the Moonrubber and the Vacuum – that twist the familiar into something strange, inflated and oddly elegant.

Bulging where it counts, the Moonrubber Megaride transforms the original Megaride into a sculptural statement. Its inflated midsole and clean mesh upper offer a futuristic energy, landing in tonal black and a grey-olive combo that balances absurdity with subtlety, while bringing a playful twist to everyday wear.

Then there’s the Superstar Vacuum, a warped echo of one of adidas’ most recognisable icons. Here, the leather upper seems to melt inward, its softened shape and cracked shell toe giving the sense of a relic that’s lived a few lives. It’s distorted, yes, but in a deliberate, sculptural way – the kind of imperfection that feels designed.

Releasing this Friday, the capsule follows on the heels of AVAVAV’s earlier Superfinger experiment, which radically reworked the Superstar this time . Stretching the silhouette, the colab came with individual toes and added sculptural, almost cartoonish touches that quickly earned it the 'Clown Shoe' nickname among 'heads.
