Celebrations Are in Order: Salomon Marks 20 Years of the ACS PRO

When first made headway into the sneaker culture landscape a few years ago, many assumed they were a fully green new footwear brand, taking their first steps into the scene. In fact, Salomon had been crafting sneakers since the early 90s, and in 2005 they released the trail-shoe-turned-lifestyle fashion statement – now 20 years old!

To celebrate this momentous occasion, Salomon dug back into their archives to unearth an unreleased 2005 ACS PRO sample, which serves as inspiration for this special 20th-anniversary edition. On this revived colourway, ‘Rich Old Gold’ and ‘Silver Cloud’ feature on the majority of the upper, with black hitting the the mesh portions, ankle collar, midsole, and outsole. Gold metal eyelets provide some extra shine and a '20 Years' patch on the tongue signifies precisely why the ACS PRO is being commemorated.

Keeping with the prototype theme, each pair will come with an attached sample tag to fully tie back to that initial unreleased version. Limited-edition branding will also appear on the box, along with a gold-and-black shoe bag to store your shiny loot. Speaking of which: Salomon have organised a multi-city treasure hunt across Paris, New York, and Mexico City, where fans will be able to access hidden codes to unlock early access to the anniversary pair.

The global release of the Salomon ACS PRO ‘20th Anniversary’ will land on December 10 via the brand's website, for a retail price of $200.
