West NYC Dedicates the Wallabee to West 72nd Street

From their sister store to the gourmet emporium , have been honouring various Upper Westside institutions with their colabs this year – and now they’re paying tribute to their whole block. The first-ever partnership between and West NYC is a heartfelt love letter to the neighbourhood that raised them.

Every curb-lined collection of concrete slabs in New York breeds a community of its own, and West 72nd Street is a living testament to the fact. Hardware stores, toy shops, and cultural fusion restaurants are just some of the small businesses that have been standing on these walkways while fortifying the backbone of the city for decades. Now West NYC have interwoven the stories of these cherished local spots (and the residents that frequent them) into the beloved Wallabee silhouette.

Marled yarn features on the upper in a blend of yellow, blue, and grey hues, all sitting atop the signature crepe sole. The sockliner of the right shoe bears a message reading, ‘Honoring those who served to make 72nd Street an iconic block for footwear retail,’ an undeniable statement given the many established neighbouring storefronts and the boutique's own 18-year-long run.

The West NYC x Clarks Wallabee ‘A Love Letter to West 72nd St’ is limited to just 300 pairs and will be available online and in-store on November 22 for a retail price of $160.
