Willy Chavarria's Golden 'Graph Hits the adidas Forum '84 Hi

Back in April of this year, TIME released their annual '100 Most Influential People' list. The list isn't ranked, but split into categories like 'Innovators', 'Icons', 'Leaders' and 'Artists.' That last category comprised just 17 people out of this year's 100, covering figures in music, literature, theatre, film, and the visual arts. And one of those 17 was . A decade into his eponymous label, Chavarria is still relatively new to collaborative roster – but 'influential' is undoubtedly the word for his impact, as he stamps his rose petals on his latest Three Stripes linkup: a lucifugous '84 Hi.

Chavarria has been relatively quiet since the storm in August, which saw both the designer-as-individual and adidas-the-brand . It was a rare misstep for a partnership which has revelled in Chavarria's themes of social justice, inclusivity, and beauty in the obscure. For his next project, Chavarria brings the night with a premium 'Core Black' leather on the Forum '84 Hi, choosing a blood red for the Three Stripes, the 'chavarria' branding across the strap, and the tongue's rose insignia with full-label branding in Old English text. The atracción principal is the designer's signature in gold, dashed across the lateral heel.
